FAQ

How will I know if my pool is set up on unlevelled ground?

If your pool appears to be bulging on one side it means that it is not set up on a levelled ground. It is important that you empty your pool and move the pool to a levelled site. If the pool is not on levelled ground it will place undue stress on the seams and could result in the seams bursting which will cause flooding, property damage and potentially personal injury or death. Fill your pool following the instructions in the owner’s manual carefully. This will ensure that you do not waste water and the pool can be easily moved before the pool is completely filled.

How many years will the pool last?

There is no set time limit for the pools to last. Following the instructions in the owner’s manual and with proper care, maintenance and storage you can considerably increase the life of your pool. Improper set-up, storage and usage can instead reduce it drastically.

Where can I find the dimensions and maximum water capacity for my Bestway pool?

Both the dimensions and maximum water capacity are printed on the color box your pool came in, but you can also check the diagrams below.

Do you recommend using pool chemicals?

Yes, we recommend using pool chemicals to maintain the correct chemistry of the water of your pool It can reduce the frequency of changing the water during the season. Important: follow the safety instructions wrote on the chemical products.

The discharge valve is too high to drain the pool completely. How can I let out the rest of the water?

We suggest disassembling the pool and discharging the rest of the water, or the customer can buy a drain pump to complete this operation.

Why is the color of my liner fading?

Excessive use of chemicals can cause the color of the inside of the liner fading; this is similar to a swimsuit fading over time from repeated contact with chlorinated water

Can I have my pool filled by a water service?

We recommend using a garden hose under low pressure to fill in your pool. If it is necessary to use a water delivery service, it is better to fill the pool with one inch of water by hose and smooth any wrinkles first. Use a water service that is able to regulate the flow of water to prevent damage. Ensure you stop at each step as noted in the instruction manual to ensure your pool is leveled. Bestway will not be held responsible for pools damaged or weakened by water delivery services.

Is it important to use the ground cloth included in the set of the Steel wall pools?

Yes, it is very important to use it when you set up the pool. It will help protect the PVC liner.

Can I embed the pool liner into the ground?

No, the structure is designed to be positioned above ground.

How much time does it take to assemble the steel wall pool?

After the preparation of the ground has been completed, it can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours, with 2 or 3 people, to assemble the steel wall pool.

How do I fix the leak(s) in my pool?

The pool does not need to be emptied to fix any holes. Self-adhesive underwater repair patches can be purchased at your local pool / hardware store. For external use, use the repair patch provided. For internal holes, clean the hole on the inside of the pool to wipe off any oils and algae. Cut a circle of the repair patch large enough to cover the hole and apply the patch to the inside of the pool. To patch the liner more effectively, seal the hole a second time by cutting and applying a second patch on the external side of the same hole. If the hole is on the base of the pool use only one patch and keep it pressed down with a heavy object while it bonds. If you have patched the pool when it is empty, we recommend you leave it empty for at least 12 hours before filling it again.

Do I need to disassemble my pool for the winter?

The engineering and high quality material design behind your Bestway Steel Wall pool allows you to keep it up and assembled during the winter. We do, however, recommend you do the following: – Bring the water level down to below the connection valves (since ice can damage the valves). – Cover the pool in order to avoid debris and dirt deposit. Disassemble the pump and hoses.

Bestway Steel Wall Pools are built without a draining valve. To discharge the water from your pool, follow the instructions and corresponding diagrams below: – Insert the hose into the water until it is completely submerged. – Cover one end with your hand to keep the water inside. – Take out the hose, keeping your hand over the end. – Place the hose in the designated draining area, removing your hand to let the water flow. – The water will begin to drain automatically

Does a deformation of the steel wall affect its stability?

The steel wall is strong enough to retain its stability even if slightly deformed due to accidental hits. This may affect only the aesthetical aspect of the pool.

What is the maximum fill height of the pool?

Fill the pool until the water capacity reaches 90%. You can find the height of the water in the dimension picture on the product packaging. Never attempt to fill your pool above the base of the top rail. We recommend leaving extra room for the water displacement that will occur when people are inside the pool. How many times a year should I change the water?

It depends on how much you use the pool and on the attention paid to covering it and keeping chemicals properly balanced. If maintained correctly, the water should last a full summer season. What kind of chemicals should be used for water maintenance?

Please consult your local chemical supplier for information about chemical maintenance. Pay close attention to the chemical manufacturer’s instructions.
